How did you meet:
We met during a "Traveling Four Corners" Line dance at Club Aqua in Citrus Heights in 2003
The engagement:
We got engaged in Zihuatanejo, Mexico in January 2008.

Pre-wedding party plans:
What attracted her to him:
His funny, upbeat personality and sense of adventure.
What attracted him to her:
Her smile and sweet nature and curly dark hair.
Your wedding gown:
Stapless A-line Maggie Sottero with beading on the corset lace-up bodice and and a tulle overlay with beading on the skirt
Wedding theme:
Sort of a cross between english garden and tropical getaways
Wedding colors:
Navy, Mint Green and Ivory
Wedding flowers:
we didn't select specific flowers, just whatever was in season that was in our color scheme. They were BEAUTIFUL!
Wedding menu:
bacon wrapped scallops and lemon garlic shrimp appetizers, fresh fruit, spinach salad with citrus vinaigrette, assorted rolls, green beans with Almonds, scalloped potatoes, stuffed chicken breasts and sirloin tip carving sation.
Wedding dessert:
Chocolate cake with a Banana Cream filling, White Cake with a pineapple filling and Chocolate Cake with a bavarian Cream filling.
Music for first dance:
Michael Buble's version of "you'll never find"
The most romantic part of the day:
Reading our vows to each other. We each wrote our own and it was so romantic to see our reactions as we each read and listened to the others.
The most unexpected part of your wedding day:
Having our directional balloons stolen or removed
Your favorite detail of the wedding:
Theres soo many to choose from! Though we haven't read any yet (and won't until our first anniversary) I'm still loving our time capsule idea
What, if anything, would you do differently:
If in doubt, at all, regarding weather or temperature for an outside event, I would not only rent a tent, but I would get walls on all sides
Your advise for other brides-to-be:
If possible have a long engagement to give yourself time not only to plan your perfect wedding, but to really enjoy every step of the process. and stay organized!
Advise from the groom:
Make sure you look long and hard for the perfect wedding site! (and start on time!)
