The engagement:
We were living together in Marin County at the time. My car was in the shop, and it was Election Day. Som picked me up from work and drove me to my parents in Sonoma (this is where I was registered to vote). During our visit Som Unexpectedly asked my dad for permission (this was also our 2 1/2 year anniversary). On our way back home we stopped for dinner at "our" restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory. Before going home Som wanted to go for a drive and ended up taking me to Marin Headlands which over looks the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. We walked and decided to sit on a bench which he then took out a letter and read it to me...asking me to marry him. I was totally shocked; didn't see it coming at all!!!

What, if anything, would you do differently:
Hire/talk to your photographer BEFORE making your schedule with your DJ or coordinator on allowing enough time for pictures before and after the ceremony. Throw my bouquet as well as wear my garter (oops!)

Have a bridesmaid be in charge of your lipstick/touch up color to reapply for pictures after the KISS! Allow more time after hair and make-up for pictures before the ceremony instead of waiting to do them all after.
