The
engagement: |
We
were living together in Marin County at the time. My
car was in the shop, and it was Election Day. Som picked
me up from work and drove me to my parents in Sonoma
(this is where I was registered to vote). During our
visit Som Unexpectedly asked my dad for permission (this
was also our 2 1/2 year anniversary). On our way back
home we stopped for dinner at "our" restaurant,
The Cheesecake Factory. Before going home Som wanted
to go for a drive and ended up taking me to Marin Headlands
which over looks the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco.
We walked and decided to sit on a bench which he then
took out a letter and read it to me...asking me to marry
him. I was totally shocked; didn't see it coming at all!!! |
